To learn more about LDS Temples, visit here!Okay quite possible the craziest and best week ever!
Biggest news was probably, like a lot of mormons are now aware of, that the missionary daily schedule has been officially changed! Gives us more time to get ready in the mornings and we can go to bed earlier because we don't have to plan before bed! it's pretty crazy because changes like that like never happen, but they did and it was SO COOL. We were together as the whole north half of the mission when it happened and everyone was like 'take a selfie so when your kids ask where you were when it happened you can show this to them!' ahah we are putting it into effect starting next week so we'll see if i'm maybe not so exhausted all the time. This week was so good for the work! One family, the less active Bucios I think i mentioned last week, recieved a message from teh government this week that they have 10 days to clean up their house or they'll get evicted... not good. She is a collector so she has.. many things and sometimes it's hard to keep it all clean, understandable. On Friday we went over for 3 hours and I did dishes the whole time... we barely finished the kitchen. Then we went back on Saturday and the kitchen was dirty again :) So instead of cleaning we had a family council about what we all wanted and how if we didn't clean up we were going to live on the streets. it was actually so good and the first time i've felt the spirit realy strong amidst all the things in their house! The church is truly so true. This week we also WENT TO THE TEMPLE. gah i didn't realize how much i needed a spiritual recharge but I really did and the temple just changes everything. I invite everyone to go to the temple this week, or at least drive by one because your girl out here in the PNW doesnt have the chance and she sure wishes she did. pictures attached! My companion unfortunately wasn't able to come with me, so the pictures are with some of my other great friends from the mission :) As for the work this week, we had an awesome week of finding and teaching. We are still working with the Belas family, but we found out the reason they never wanted to come to church was because they thought them coming to church was their actual baptism date.... always awkward. NOT TRUE! They are definitely coming next week now that they realize it will be a normal sabbath service. Gotta work on teaching that better I guess. Whoops. We had an amazing expereince with a new investigator named Maria who we taught the restoration to and she said the closing prayer and just broke down in tears. She told us after that she didn't know why she was crying but she just felt like something was phsyically embracing her. She said that she has always seen us walking around the streets and just knew that we were daughters of God and knew we were teaching the right things and was just waiting for us to knock on her door. GOD IS SO GOOD. She is going to be baptized soon :) The church is true!
